HR Tomorrow: The Why of Work
Friday, April 12, 2019
The HR Tomorrow Conference will be celebrating 40 years of showcasing the latest research and practices that HR professionals can draw on for their work. While every year we take a look at the changes in our workplace, this year we'll look at why people work, and what employees value at work.
HR Tomorrow is the premier professional development event presented by the University of Minnesota's Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies. This annual, day-long conference highlights current trends, issues, challenges and opportunities in the field of human resources and labor relations, and features exceptional speakers, presentations on cutting-edge HR practices and leading faculty research, and outstanding networking opportunities. HR Tomorrow attracts more than 300 attendees each year, including HR professionals from the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota and across the country, as well as students from the Carlson School's Human Resources and Industrial Relations (HRIR) program, and faculty and staff of that program.
Topics at this year's conference may include cognitive science's insights into how to foster collaboration; how companies are utilizing cutting-edge AI/analytics practices; why engagement matters and how to foster it; building a coaching culture at your organization; and creating a workplace where employees thrive.
Please note: the conference has been approved by HRCI and SHRM for recertification credits. More details will be provided at the conference.
