Funds Enterprise students participate in an intensive 8-credit, 2-semester course in which they gain hands-on experience with the management and marketing of a live portfolio from investments made by several area companies.

Become a CFE Volunteer
Volunteering with the Carlson Funds Enterprise is a non-credit, flexible experience in which students assist the research analysts with specific projects. Students can sign up to join our volunteer roster through the application link below. After joining the volunteer roster, we strongly recommend that you proactively reach out to the industry team(s) of your interest to offer help rather than waiting to be contacted with a project. You are considered a CFE volunteer once you are actively assisting a research analyst and/or industry team. Personal initiative is needed to become involved and fully take advantage of this learning opportunity.
All Carlson School students are welcome to join the volunteer roster, whether in a graduate or undergraduate degree program. If you are a student at another college within the University of Minnesota and would like to participate, please contact Olivia Starr at [email protected] to discuss your interest and goals.

Throughout the year we host a "Lunch & Learn" series where professionals share about their own career path, relevant topics in the industry, upcoming openings within their company, and areas of expertise.
We are happy to share opportunities with our students, connect you to our career centers, and help you source the talent that you need.
