Financial Aid
Graduate fellowships can be awarded to highly-qualified full-time students and are generally given for one academic year. There is no separate application for the fellowships but all applicants are encouraged to submit their applications by the priority deadline to have the best opportunity for fellowship review. There are also employment positions available within the program that students can apply for as those openings come up in late summer. The positions are usually ten hours per week during the academic year and position announcements are sent to current and incoming students as applicable. In addition, loans and work-study opportunities may be available for U.S. students and permanent residents.
The University of Minnesota does not specifically offer non-US co-signed loans. Some of the options available to you include:
- Prodigy Finance You can find Carlson School program-specific information online.
- MPower Student Loan You can find details about The MPower loan program at: https://mpowerfinancing.com/borrow
Please note the University of Minnesota does not solely endorse any one specific loan program.
U.S. military members/veterans, and employees from our Corporate Partner Program members are automatically eligible for a 15% tuition discount. Scholarships are not transferable to other degree programs and may not be "stacked" with other scholarships or discounts.
