The Medical Valuation Laboratory is a unique program found only at the Carlson School of Management. Since its inception in 2008, the Valuation Lab has had a wide audience ranging from students in nine different colleges at the University of Minnesota. Students in the course analyze innovative medical technologies every year, assessing optimal market strategies for products varying from medical web-apps to class III implantable devices. These are real-world products from businesses and inventors across the entire healthcare eco-system. The experiences gained from this class have enabled our graduates to progress into leadership roles within successful medical startups, Fortune 100 companies and everything in-between.
