Medical Industry Leadership Institute Case Competitions
MILI launched the Interdisciplinary Health Data Competition in 2020 to promote interdisciplinary dialogue on how to use data to address current healthcare challenges. Students complete an exploratory analysis of specified datasets to provide innovative solutions and insights using data science tools and methodologies. This annual competition encourages graduate students across all disciplines at the Twin Cities campus to practice, enhance, and showcase their understanding of real-world healthcare problems and their abilities to solve them with innovative use of data science.
Formed in 2010 BAHM was created to transform the health sector by advancing education, research, and practice in the nation's top schools of management. It is a collaborative non-profit organization comprised of business schools committed to the belief that management education, applied to the challenges of healthcare delivery and healthcare innovation plays a special role in creating new and important solutions. As a member of BAHM, MILI teams have been able to participate in the annual case competitions. The first year, in 2013 our team took second place, in 2014, first! MILI teams have competed against schools such as Harvard, Berkeley, and Duke. This year BAHM will be hosted at Baylor University Hankamer School of Business.
