The Carlson Business Career Center (CBCC) has developed a program for employers to support a more inclusive recruiting, onboarding and workplace experience for students. The program consists of three virtual 90-minutes workshops to help strengthen the connection and understanding between Carlson employers and students from diverse groups. The program is open to anyone who is involved with recruiting, hiring, onboarding and mentoring diverse Carlson students (i.e., campus recruiters, diversity recruiters, HR program leaders, ERG leaders, hiring managers, etc.).
In the program, employers will:
- Hear directly from Carlson students on what they need during the recruiting process.
- Share recruiting and retention challenges experienced by other Carlson employers.
- Re-think key student interactions to be more inclusive of talent from all backgrounds.
- Learn new ways to show students your commitment to engage in inclusive best practices.
Upon completion of the program, employers receive a certificate of completion and pin to showcase with students their commitment to inclusivity. They are also invited to a breakfast to recognize their program participation, meet student leaders from a variety of affinity clubs and organizations, and join and connect with a cohort of other employers who have gone through the training.
