Accounting Department Updates
John C. Heater became a part of the Carlson School of Management in 2024, as an Assistant Professor. John achieved his PhD in Accounting from Yale in 2018, and joins us from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he was an Associate Professor. John studies how financial reporting affects managers' decision-making at corporations and financial intermediaries and how financial reporting conveys macroeconomic information. His research interests include disclosure, regulation, and the effects of the institutional investors on other stakeholders.
