Pheonah Mutanda Namakula

I was pleased to discover that Carlson provides a non-accounting undergraduate track, specifically designed for individuals like me who did not major in accounting. This tailored approach reassured me that Carlson is committed to supporting students from diverse academic backgrounds, helping them build a solid foundation and succeed in the field of accounting.

David L. Peterson

Each class’s ability to be such a “deep dive” into a particular subject was an incredible learning experience. While accounting can appear to be a relatively “narrow” area of study, Carlson’s wide range of instructors and varied class-method constructions made every class a very different experience.

Christopher Rife

I am confident that with dedicated effort, attending the Carlson School of Management will unlock endless possibilities for my future.

Making an Impact Through Hands-On Tax Assistance

Master of Accountancy student Abby Poser is volunteering with a local tax assistance clinic, putting her Fundamentals of Federal Income Tax coursework into action.

“It’s a great way for me to solidify my understanding and retain that knowledge,” she says. “In a tax clinic, every situation is unique, so it’s crucial to interpret each client’s needs and correctly apply the Internal Revenue Code.”
