Admission Prerequisites

Bachelor's Degree
Applicants must hold bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable degree from an officially recognized college or university outside of the U.S.
Work Experience
The program requires two years of full-time work experience. This can include qualifying internships, co-ops, graduate assistantships, and other work experiences.

Deadlines that occur on a holiday or weekend will be extended through the next business day. Please reach out to mba@umn.edu if you have questions or concerns about your timeline.
Part-Time MBA applicants will receive their admission decision within 10 business days of the admission committee receiving a submitted and completed application. A completed and submitted application includes transcripts, resumes, personal statement, and recommendations. You will receive communication from the admission committee when your application has been received and marked as complete.
All applicants will receive an admissions decision via the application portal. All admitted candidates will receive additional information through email and the application portal. You will be receiving application update emails from gradappinfo@umn.edu and mbamsapp@umn.edu. Please add these emails to your contact list or safe list so that they are not caught in your spam filter.

International Applicants
The Part-Time MBA is excited to accept international students to the program. Note that this program is delivered with a blend of in-person courses on our Minneapolis campus and online courses. UMN cannot grant Part-Time MBA students a student visa.
