Sun Yat-sen University, founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, has an educational tradition spanning over 100 years. Lingnan Leadership and Staff
LIU Yanchu, PhD, is a Professor in Lingnan College, Sun Yat-Sen University, and Associate Dean of Lingnan College. His research areas are Financial Engineering and Financial Technology. He teaches an Advanced Financial Management course in the CHEMBA program.
Liu Jianhua, PhD, is a professor of Finance and an Assistant Dean of Lingnan College, Sun Yat-Sen University. He is responsible for the teaching and research of capital market-based accounting and finance, corporate governance, and investor protection. He has published two books and a number of papers in some influential academic journals such as Management World, Journal of Financial Research, Accounting Research, China Accounting Review, and Quarterly Journal of Finance. And he is in charge of several national or provincial research projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, etc. What’s more, he has won several awards granted by the Ministry of Education and Guangdong Province for his seminal academic achievements.
Lin Jiang is a professor, doctoral tutor of Lingnan College in Sun Yat-sen University. He is the Associate Dean of the Research Institute for FTZ of the University and also the deputy director of Hong Kong, Macao and the Pearl River Delta Research Center of the University. He had been a professor of the Finance department in Lingnan College, director of Hong Kong and Macao Research Institute of Sun Yat-sen University and deputy director of Hong Kong and Macao Research Center. His research areas are International Financial Management, Theory of Taxation, Public Finance and Public Policy, Public Finance Theory and Practice. Regional Economics, Finance, Public Finance, Taxation and Venture Capital.
Susie has 11 years working experience in a Polytechnic College, responsible for International Programs, including Chinese-Foreign Cooperation, exchange, and short-term programs before she joined SYSU. She has worked with the CHEMBA program at Lingnan College since 2015, starting as an Academic Supervisor, and was promoted as Associate Director in 2019. She became CHEMBA's Executive Director in 2020.
Susie received her MBA (English instructed program) in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. She enjoys working with programs with a diversity of culture and empathy understanding. The value of these programs is not only to communicate with different people from the world, but also to see and think about the world from a higher dimension and a broader perspective.
Jane got her BA from South China Normal University in Guangzhou, majoring in English. She has been administrator of the US meat export federation Guangzhou office for more than 10 years，during which she had the training in the Korean office and led the traders team to visit the US export companies in LA. Since 2010, she began her role in Lingnan college, SYSU worked in the academic department and corporation cooperation department for MBA programs, conducting the action learning programs as China Seminar Project of Carlson, China Lab Project of MIT, Project-Based Learning Project of Lingnan MBA before. She joined the CHEMBA program in 2022.
Graduated from Lingnan College, Sun Yat-Sen University with a BA of Management, Harvey has a strong connection with Lingnan. Now the spirit of Lingnan encourages him to contribute to the College. During his College time, he had grown a skill of CG Tech and traditional painting, which gave him a unique sense of aesthetic. After graduation, Harvey joined the CHEMBA Program as the Marketing supervisor of CHEMBA in 2020 and became a part of bridge links UMN and Sun Yat-Sen University. Harvey feels serving all these CHEMBA elite students and alumni of South China is beneficial for him to improve his insight not only for Chinese commerce, but also for International vision.
