About
Heather Besikof, ’06, graduated from the MA-HRIR part-time program and currently works as an organizational development manager at Polaris. Previously, she has worked at The Musicland Group and Honeywell. Besikof chose to attend the MA-HRIR program because it would provide growth in her career and interests. She says, “I really enjoyed working in HR and wanted to do more, strategically, with my career. I also enjoyed (still do) learning and challenging myself.” Besikof explains, “The program exposed me to all the areas and opportunity I could be a part of within HR. I also made friends that are great connections still today.” She says that she wanted to join a board as a way to give back and share her expertise. “What better board than one that combines my passion for HR and the pride for the University of Minnesota – Carlson School program that helped get me where I am today?” Her advice for currents students is that, “Education doesn't stop when you graduate; be a life-long learner!”
