Seulmin Yang is a 5th year Ph.D. candidate in Marketing. Before joining the Carlson ph.d. program, she got a bachelor's degree in business administration in Korea and a master's degree in statistics from the University of Chicago.
Seulmin's research primarily focuses on the intersection of quantitative methods in marketing and public policy. In other words, she is interested in how public affairs influence companies' decisions and consumer behavior.
She employs advanced statistical techniques to analyze massive datasets, using R and Python, and apply the modeling of Industrial Organization.
Her current research projects use both structural modeling and reduced-form modeling.
