Specializations - Supply Chain
The Supply Chain and Operations (SCO) specialization at the Carlson School of Management prepares students to design and manage integrated value chains that deliver maximum value to customers. Students gain expertise in strategic planning, sourcing, production, logistics, and service delivery across global supply networks. With a cross-functional approach, this specialization equips graduates to drive operational excellence and competitive advantage for organizations.
Supply Chain & Operation Curriculum
The SCO curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management through a diverse range of courses. Students have the flexibility to tailor their curriculum based on interest areas such as analytics, sourcing, logistics, operations excellence, or global supply chains. Case studies, projects, and experiential learning opportunities allow students to apply concepts to real-world scenarios. The program develops strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive supply chain innovation and performance.

SCO courses can be customized to fit a student's career interests. The total credits required for an emphasis are 12 or 8 credits for Supply Chain or Operations related Enterprise experience students. Courses fall under two categories: foundational and electives, which respectively introduce the basic concepts and delve into special topics in SCO.
