Your Ideas Will Make the Carlson School Even Better
Friday, March 9, 2012
What an amazing day! When Aks and I arrived at the Carlson School 21 years ago, I never imagined that I would one day be named its dean. Words can not express how appreciative I am for your support and how much your kind words of encouragement have meant to me.
As I shared following the announcement, my first goal as dean of this great school is to listen to all of our stakeholders. I plan to talk to as many students, staff, faculty, alums, and business leaders as I can and will use extensive crowdsourcing to gather new ideas.
In one of my first posts after being named interim dean, I wrote that waiting is not for us. That remains true today so let's get started. Tell me:
What has the Carlson School meant to you?
What do you want your relationship with the Carlson School to look like? How do you want it to evolve?
And what are your dreams for the Carlson School?
Your answers to these questions will help me articulate our shared pathway for the future. I look forward to reading your comments and hearing from you when we meet. Most of all, I cannot wait to work hand-in-hand with you to further establish the Carlson School as a crucible for ideas and innovation that will drive the future of business worldwide.
Thank you!!!
