About
Hannah Akrong, '05, has over 20 plus years of global experience working with various Fortune 100/500 organizations in various industries and leading global teams to execute on the people agenda, I'm super excited to now give back as a member of the CHRLS Alumni Board. In my current role as HR Director for Vodafone Ghana, I'm responsible for setting the strategic people agenda. I'm passionate about providing opportunities for women and other minorities and promoting equity in the workplace and addressing issues that disproportionately affect women. I applied to the HRIR program because I wanted to transition from a Marketing career to an HR career after my stint with Ernst & Young. I moved from Ghana to Minnesota and aside from the cold, loved every minute of my time both in school and out. The Program provided so many opportunities and I took advantage of the Semester Abroad program and did a semester in Belgium. I'll especially encourage current students to take full advantage of the semester abroad programs. The international experience is unmatched.
