MayKao Hang, president and CEO of Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, will be the featured speaker at the Carlson School of Management’s 1st Tuesday Speaker Series in June.
The June 5 event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the McNamara Alumni Center. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the 1st Tuesday web page.
The Wilder Foundation combines direct service, research, and community initiatives to address the needs of vulnerable people in St. Paul and the surrounding area. Hang has led the foundation since 2010 and has extensive experience in the public and nonprofit sectors serving low income and disadvantaged populations.
Previously, she was the director of adult services with Ramsey County Human Services and a resident services director with the St. Paul Public Housing Agency.
She also is a trustee with the St. Paul and Minnesota Community Foundations, National Advisory Board chair for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Interdisciplinary Research Leaders Program, a board member of the Minnesota Historical Society, and a founding member of the Coalition of Asian-American Leaders in Minnesota.
