President and CEO of Land O' Lakes Chris Policinski will discuss food safety at the 1st Tuesday speaker series on November 4 at 11:30 a.m. at McNamara Alumni Center. He will share lessons from his 34 years' experience in the food industry, and lead a discussion with the audience.

Land O’Lakes, Inc., is the second largest cooperative in the nation which does business in the United States and more than 50 countries, and has sales of more than $14 billion. Policinski joined Land O’Lakes in 1997 and was appointed president and CEO in 2005. Prior to joining Land O’Lakes, Chris held leadership positions with Kraft General Foods, Bristol-Myers Squib, and The Pillsbury Company.

Policinski served on the board of directors of several industry associations including the Grocery Manufacturers Association, National Council of Farmer Cooperatives, and the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. He is also a trustee of the University of Minnesota Foundation, member of the Carlson School of Management Board of Overseers, and a member of the boards of Xcel Energy and Hormel Foods.

Chris earned his MBA degree from New York University, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.
