Tuesday, January 2, 2018
Information and Decision Sciences Assistant Professor Gordon Burtch recently received the Association for Information Systems (AIS) Early Career Award. The award recognizes individuals in the early stages of their careers who have already made outstanding research, teaching, and/or service contributions to the field of information systems. Award winners are selected by a committee of senior AIS scholars.
This is the second early career award Burch has received. He was presented with the INFORMS ISS Sandra A. Slaughter Early Career Award in October. More information about that award is available online.
Burtch, who studies crowdfunding, crowdsourcing, and social media, was presented with the AIS award at the International Conference on Information Systems in Seoul, South Korea, in December.
