Carlson School Top 10 in the World in Business Administration, Management Research

The Carlson School of Management is among the top business schools in the United States for faculty research in several disciplines, according to ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2017.

The Carlson School ranked fifth in the world and third among U.S. public schools in management. In business administration, Carlson was eighth overall and second among U.S. publics.

The school also ranked 12th among U.S. publics in finance (41st overall).

ShanghaiRanking is the same consultancy that produces the annual Academic Ranking of World Universities. The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects judges universities in 52 subjects spanning engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, natural sciences, and social sciences.

Institutions are ranked based on five metrics: number of papers authored, average impact of papers, percentage of papers with international collaboration, number of papers published in top journals, and significant awards.
