Carlson School to host inaugural Elevate Conference for Professionals of Color

The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota is proud to present the inaugural Elevate Career Advancement Conference for Professionals of Color, women, and allies on Wednesday, April 13 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the 3M Auditorium. Join us and get valuable insight to help take your career to the next level! 

Don’t miss the Elevate Conference Keynote Panel hosted by Rae Mackenzie Group, Inc. CEO  Sharon Smith-Akinsanya. The panel will feature barrier-busting executives including Andersen Windows & Doors Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer Tracey Gibson; Children’s Minnesota Vice President, Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer James Burroughs; Best Buy Vice President, Strategic Community Engagement Amelia Hardy; and 3M Chief Diversity Officer Marina Pariseau. A networking reception will follow the panel.

Other attendees will include Dean Sri Zaheer, winner of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal 2021 Women in Business Career Achievement Award, and the Carlson School’s first Chief Diversity Officer, Angela Spranger. 

Conference attendees will also learn key skills about salary negotiation, personal branding, and human-centered leadership in concurrent break-out sessions hosted by Carlson Career Coaching Senior Associate Director Kelly McLellan, Carlson Career Center Executive Director Maggie Tomas, and New Publica Vice President and Head of Marketing and Communications Luis Moreno.
