The Carlson School MS in Business Analytics program helps students build their technical skills and business acumen over the course of an intensive year. Along the way, they work closely with the Graduate Business Career Center (GBCC) to leverage Carlson's network and prepare for finding a great career post-graduation. One of the great GBCC opportunities highlighted here is our January 2019 trip out west, where students were invited to visit Seattle or San Francisco and spent their time visiting companies and networking with Carlson School MSBA alumni.
The Master of Accountancy Program has taught Peter Trandem, MAcc ‘18 an Internal Auditor at U.S. Bank, the importance of looking at the context surrounding the problems he faces at work and asking the critical question “Why?”.
The Carlson Analytics Lab worked with Land O'Lakes to use consumer review data from channels including Facebook, Twitter, and Purinamills.com to build and deliver a dynamic analytical model. This model is helping the Purina marketing team better align product marketing messages with the ever-changing voice of their consumers.
How is it possible, that extremely affordable, world-class surgical care would not be in high demand? That question led to an important research question for Professor Kingshuk Sinha and his coauthors: How can international non-profit organizations enable the long-term delivery of surgical care in underserved communities?
As the holidays near, we look back on the Carlson School of Management's centennial year of celebrations and look forward to the next 100 years.
