Aks Zaheer Elected Fellow of Strategic Management Society

Professor Aks Zaheer has been elected a Fellow of the Strategic Management Society. Zaheer’s induction took place September 21 at the SMS Annual International Conference in Madrid.
The purpose of the Fellows of the Strategic Management Society is to recognize and honor members who have made significant contributions to the theory and practice of strategic management.
Zaheer, the Curtis L. Carlson Chair in Strategic Management, is currently researching the antecedents and consequences of trust in organizations and in interfirm exchange, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, and the dynamics of social structure in organizations, among other topics. His research has been published in Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, the Strategic Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, and the Academy of Management Journal, among others. He serves on the editorial boards of the Strategic Management Journal, Strategic Organization, the Global Strategy Journal, and the Journal of Trust Research.
He was named MBA Teacher of the Year at the Carlson School in 1995 and the Outstanding Core Teacher of the Year for the Full-Time MBA program in 2005, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Additionally, he received an Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004, 2009, 2012 and 2014, and won the Curtis Cup, an outstanding teaching award, from the Carlson Executive MBA program in 2006. In 2012, he was named one of the World's 50 Best B-School Professors by Poets & Quants.
