4 Carlson School Alumni Named Titans of Technology

Four Carlson School alumni were named 2016 Titans of Technology by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The honor is to recognize an individual’s leadership in assisting and accelerating the performance of the tech industry.

The Hall of Fame honoree is Joy Lindsay, ’99 MBA and president of StarTec Investments, a venture capital firm. She is a long-time financial supporter of the tech industry through her work at StarTec, Sofia Angel Fund, and Gopher Angels. She also has lent her time and industry knowledge to the Minnesota High Tech Association, the MN Cup, the Holmes Center for Entrepreneurship, ACES, and more.

Tom Goodmanson, ’03 MEP and CEO of Calabrio, Inc., was recognized as a Technology CEO honoree. This designation honors a chief executive at a technology company.

Thomas Kauffman, ’99 MBA and global technology manager at H.B. Fuller Co. was named a Technology Inventor honoree. This category recognizes the accomplishments of a person responsible for the creation of breakthrough tech ideas, processes, or products.

Dan Atkins, ’85 BSB and co-founder of MinneAnalytics, was selected as a Technology Advocate honoree. This category recognizes a champion for his or her outstanding leadership in assisting, advancing, or accelerating the performance of tech companies and community.

"Carlson School alumni are once again well represented in all areas," said John Stavig, '86 BSB and 2015 Titan of Technology honoree. "Joy Lindsay is particularly deserving of the recognition. She is a tremendous asset to the community and has been a tireless leader of nearly every organization or event that supports tech entrepreneurship in Minnesota over the past decade."
