The Carlson School of Management is among the beneficiaries of the latest gift from 3M to the University of Minnesota.
The company today announced a new $8 million commitment to support scholarships and outreach programs, part of a $26 million investment in the University’s Driven campaign over a 10-year period. 3M describes the gift as “helping to build a pipeline of high-performing and diverse global talent, integrate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) into K-12 education, and prepare students to succeed in science and business.”
The Carlson School’s portion of the gift will fund scholarships for diverse future leaders, as well as programs that engage emerging business minds. 3M is a longtime partner of the Carlson School as part of its overall support of the University. Today’s gift brought the company’s lifetime contributions to the University to nearly $120 million in both cash and products.
