What are you reading?
I often have more than one book going at any given time. At the moment, I’ve been reading a book about metabolism, the memoir Heavy by Kiese Laymon, and a couple of poetry collections, including Obit by Victoria Chang. I’m a poet myself (my first book, Honey in the Dark, was recently published), and I found Chang’s collection utterly compelling. Her book is a careful and honest consideration of grief, and the form she uses (obituaries) is very inventive.
What is your favorite website?
I’ll say The New York Times. For the news, of course, but also for their cooking app, the product reviews in The Wirecutter section, and the games. My spouse and I are obsessed with the Spelling Bee!
What is your dream job?
A few years ago I developed an interest in wine and later visited the Sonoma Valley on vacation. I think it would be fun to learn more about the making of wine, what it takes to manage a vineyard and run a winery business. Maybe I could be a sommelier someday?

What are you reading?
I’m reading Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May. In light of the pandemic’s two-year anniversary, I’m thinking about mainstream narratives of work, productivity, self-care, and wellness and want to learn more about other frameworks that center justice in our conversations about rest and healing. Another good resource on this is @TheNapMinistry on Twitter.
What is your favorite website?
I’ve never been able to pick one favorite anything, so I’m loving local journalism at Racket and the Minnesota Reformer, and I also recommend my favorite newsletter Two Bossy Dames.
What is your dream job?
My dream job involves helping social impact organizations in the Twin Cities build capacity through effective systems and equitable organizational culture.

What are you reading?
I am currently reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. I always enjoy reading adventure and survival books because they are exciting to read and also have a meaningful message I can apply practically in my life. Portions of the book remind me that even when things seem to be at the lowest point in your life, you should always try to find hope or a dream that anchors you, otherwise you can become lost.
What is your favorite website?
My favorite website is Univeilstudios.com because my team and I recently created it when launching our video production company, Univeil Studios. I believe that the Univeil team will continue to shape the website to be as engaging and impactful as possible, which is why it’s my favorite!
What is your dream job?
My dream job would be to develop my own successful company that serves and positively impacts others. I am working toward this dream after I founded Univeil Studios. I started the company because I constantly notice that many students have the potential to make life-changing impacts on people, but there aren’t many dedicated social media channels or companies that
are highlighting them.
