Through our partnership program, employees at select companies can pursue an MBA, Masters, Graduate Certificate, or Executive Education course at a preferred tuition rate.

Corporate Discount Program Overview
Employees from partner companies will receive a tuition discount for select programs and courses. The discount will apply for the duration of their program as long as they remain employed at a corporate discount partner company. Employment will be verified before the fall and spring semesters.
Eligible Programs for Corporate Discount
Applicants must meet admissions requirements for each program to be eligible. Tests, application fees, and references will be waived for select programs.
MBA
- Eligible Programs: Part-Time MBA, Online MBA, & Executive MBA

Prospective Students - How to Apply
Choose your program - be sure it is included on the eligible programs list
- Select your employer from the drop-down menu in the application
- Do NOT type in your employer manually - this will not activate the Corporate Discount Opt-in page
- Click Save and Continue
- After entering your employer, a new “Corporate Discount” page will appear
- Click “Yes” to opt-in to the discount program
- More information will appear and any waived application items will be listed for your program (waived items include standardized tests, application fees, and references) *waived items vary by program
- You will be asked to enter your employee ID and Department. We will use this information to verify your employment with your company
- Once you are a student, you will be required to verify your employment twice per year, before the Fall and Spring semesters. We will use the information provided in your application to verify your employment for your first term of your selected program. Thereafter, you will receive the communication outlined below to verify your employment.
- A series of emails will be sent from mbaandms@umn.edu to your @umn.edu email address asking you to confirm your employer, employee ID, and department by completing a form - the link to the form will be included in the emails we send to you.
- The form will offer you the ability to confirm that your information on file is correct, update your department or title at your current employer, or add a new employer if you make a job change. We will send this information to Human Resources at your employer to verify your ongoing employment.
- If you change jobs to an employer that is not a corporate discount partner, your discount will be valid through the remainder of the current term and end for the next term. When you receive the employer verification emails mentioned above, there will be a spot for you to update your employer information. Doing so will remove you from the corporate discount program.
- To be eligible for the corporate discount program, you will need to confirm your enrollment earlier than our typical confirmation deadlines. This is due to the time needed to complete the employment verification process and adjust your tuition bill. We will post the corporate discount confirmation deadlines here for each term. Please see important dates above.
How To Register for an Executive Education course:
- Select a Carlson School Executive Education course
- Click on “Register” with desired payment method: credit card or invoice
- Complete the form and use your company's corporate discount code to receive 25% off tuition

Current Students - How to Opt In

- You must complete the employment verification form before the specified deadline in our emails EACH term. This deadline will be several weeks before the Fall and Spring terms begin in order to allow time for employment verification and adjustments to your tuition bill.
- If you miss the form submission deadline, you will NOT receive the tuition discount for the upcoming semester. Your next opportunity to receive the tuition discount will be the following Spring or Fall term. Please see important dates above.
- Students who plan to take summer or May term courses must complete employment verification before the Spring term to be discount-eligible.
- After the employment verification process is complete, your tuition bill will be adjusted to reflect a 15% discount to approved tuition rates.
- Student fees are not included in the corporate discount program.
- The tuition discount is not retroactive.
