Biography
Teng Ye is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information and Decision Sciences at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. She received her PhD degree in Information Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her research focuses on human-centered data science, where she combines counterfactual machine learning, field & lab experiment, social science theories to approach behavioral problems across individual, group, and societal levels. She has been passionate about a variety of application domains, such as data science for social good, computational social science, the sharing economy, crowdfunding, crowdsourcing, social media, and healthcare.
