Biography
Murray Frank was the President of the Midwest Finance Association (2017-2018). In recent years much of his work has focused on corporate capital structure. He is a co-founder of the Virtual Corporate Finance Wednesdays an international scholarly seminar series. He has served as the associate editor of the Review of Financial Studies, Finance Research Letters and as editorial advisor of the Canadian Journal of Economics. His work has been published in many of the top economics and finance journals over the years including the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, and Management Science, among many others.

Co-founder and organizer of Virtual Corporate Finance Wednesdays. The other co-founders were Gordon Phillips (Dartmouth) and Vojislav Maksimovic (Maryland). It started in May 2020 as a response to the Covid crisis in order to ensure that scholarly seminars would continue despite the disruptions. The original name was Virtual Corporate Finance Fridays.
