Biography
Michael Iselin joined the Carlson School of Management in 2014. He was promoted to an Associate Professor in 2022. He also serves as an Economic Research and Policy Scholar at the Conference of State Bank Supervisors since 2025. His research primarily focuses on the impact of new accounting standards and regulations on firm's decisions. He also has work related to financial institutions, bank regulation, risk management and corporate governance. His research has been published in The Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Management Science. Prior to joining Carlson Professor Iselin earned his PhD from the Fisher School of Business, The Ohio State University, and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame.
