Biography
Corey Nelson is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the Carlson School of Management. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota and spent 14 years living and working in Seoul, South Korea. During his time in Korea, he completed the MBA graduate program at Sejong University in Seoul.
While in Korea, Nelson taught Marketing, Organizational Behavior, and English as a Second Language for seven years at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He also worked as an expatriate employee at Aekyung Petrochemical, serving in various roles across sales and human resources.
An avid entrepreneur, Nelson has co-founded multiple businesses with his wife. Their first venture traded industrial products between Asia and North America, and their second company, Catherine Jinn Skincare, reflects their passion for e-commerce.
Nelson teaches undergraduate and MBA courses both in person and asynchronously on Principles of Marketing and Marketing Management. His engaging and impactful teaching style has earned him multiple awards for excellence at the Carlson School and recognition as an outstanding faculty member.
