BizPitch Winner Serves Meals for Unemployed

Eight University of Minnesota undergraduate students pitched their ideas to a panel of entrepreneurs, investors, and attorneys for an opportunity to win $1300 in prizes at the 25th BizPitch competition.
Congratulations to Courtney Ricci and Land of 10k Meals for winning the Grand Prize at the 25th BizPitch Competition. Land of 10K Meals strives to cost-effectively feed 10,000 affected individuals by the Covid-19 pandemic in the Minneapolis community by partnering with Avocadish, an alumni founded company.
The Most Innovative award went to Sayuj Suresh for his company, Vibrance Biomedical. Vibrance Biomedical creates a non-invasive salivary test strip to affordably diagnose Type II diabetes.
The Most Socially Impactful award went to Morgan Kerfeld for her company, ShaqoSearch. ShaqoSearch is a job connection platform that matches young adults to employers in Kismayo, Somalia.
Lastly, the People's Choice award went to Morgan Kerfeld of ShaqoSearch and Courtney Ricci of Land of 10k Meals.
