Modus is a mobile app that tracks the expiration dates of food items. A QR code on grocery receipts transfers the expiration dates of the consumer’s purchased foods onto the app, allowing easy monitoring of food. Their digital tracking system is a significantly more efficient alternative to the poorly designed physical expiration labels. As a whole, it provides greater efficiency and convenience to consumers, all while promoting more healthy shopping habits and reducing food waste.
