MN Cup Competition draws talent from Greater Minnesota

Several Greater Minnesota residents showed up for this year’s MN Cup Competition with a total of 46 counties represented, an increase from 2014 of 41 counties. Since 2005, 77 counties or 89% of the state has been represented in the MN Cup Competition.
Participation by region:
Initiative Foundation Region: 43 participants
Northwest Foundation Region: 5 participants
Northland Foundation Region: 35 participants
Southwest Initiative Foundation Region: 18 participants
Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation Region: 88 participants
West Central Initiative Foundation Region: 13 participants
MN Cup received applications from 3 new counties that have never been represented in the MN Cup Competition:
- Big Stone, Lyon, and Nobles.
MN Cup has been working with five regional partners to continuously promote the competition and its benefits to reach more entrepreneurs across the state. This year, MN Cup launched their Greater Minnesota Roadshow, traveling 856 miles to 5 different locations.
