About

Lori J. Abrams, PhD has been an award-winning faculty member of the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She is a licensed mediator and an Organizational Development consultant specializing in negotiation and the communication of change. She has expertise in survey design, needs analysis, and change agent skills. Dr. Abrams earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Minnesota with a research focus in healthcare. She teaches university courses in negotiation strategies, teams, psychology of management, strategy process, and implementation. In addition to the Carlson School, she has taught at the University of Oregon. Dr. Abrams also has extensive experience as an organizational consultant and trainer. Her recent consulting efforts have been in the areas of communication and organizational change, conflict management, change management, and negotiation. A partial list of clients includes Xcel Energy, Best Buy, Metropolitan Council, 3M, Minnesota Public, and the U of M Institutional Review Board.
