Connie Wanberg

Connie Wanberg is a Professor and Industrial Relations Faculty Excellence Chair in the Work and Organizations Department at the Carlson School of Management. In her role as an educator, she teaches classes involving human resources management, leadership, industrial/organizational psychology, and organizational behavior. In her role as a researcher, she is internationally known for her work on unemployment, job search, and careers. She is highly published in top tier refereed journals as well as numerous book chapters.
Wanberg has presented at numerous conferences throughout the world and has served as guest faculty at the University of Amsterdam, Universite Jean Moulin in Lyon, France and the Fundacíon Ortega y Gasset in Toledo, Spain. She is a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the American Psychological Association, and the Academy of Management. She has worked in several consulting roles for external organizations. She has also served in leadership positions at the University of Minnesota, including the chair of the HRIR department from 2006-2009 and 2018-2019, Associate Dean of the Carlson School of Management undergraduate program from 2011-2012, and Work and Organizations PhD Coordinator.
