"I love that I have a close-knit community of peers that I can rely on and learn from."
Your Story
My experience working in staffing was fast-paced, constantly changing, and challenging, to say the least! I loved the variety of my job, but yearned for more opportunities to direct and steer the business that I was a part of. I realized that business school was a natural next step in order to get the tactical skills I needed, and the chance to advance into a role that was more strategic.
Why Carlson?
From the start of my journey, I knew that Carlson offered everything that I was looking for. The proximity to a dense population of Fortune 500 companies, combined with the opportunity to work on real, complex business problems through the Enterprise program meant that I truly had a chance to accelerate my learning and business skills! The quality that I underestimated was how impactful a small community would be on this experience. I love that I have a close-knit community of peers that I can rely on and learn from. This is what makes Carlson a real gem among top business schools.
Team Collaboration as a Carlson MBA Student
Carlson provides no shortage of chances to work on a team. Along with my core team, I've had the chance to compete on two different case competition teams, multiple club teams, as well as my Enterprise team. It's a great opportunity to work with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Alongside the leadership program, the constant teamwork provided me when a chance to be honest and truly understand my own strengths, weaknesses, and work style. Carlson creates a very authentic culture where feedback is encouraged and development opportunities abound. It is parallel to a laboratory, in that I've been given the chance to test out new ways to handle work situations.
