The MBA Program's Charity Auction

What a hoot it was to work with the Minnesota Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (MNPVA).  From the start, their President Ken Klein and Administrator Naomi Lorence set the tone for a terrific working relationship with Carlson 4 Community (C4C).

As a student managed organization, C4C worked with MNPVA, to learn more about the resources required to support those who have suffered paralysis due to spinal cord injury or disease.  Through the process, we learned a great deal about their amazing members and families – affection for this organization grew quickly.

Leading up to the big auction event, MNPVA partnered with MBA students and hosted everyone to a night of shot-putting, skeet-shooting, trap-shooting up in Blaine on a cool November night.  I know for a fact students had fun and many returned to tell grand stories of how many clay pigeons fell from the sky as they learned from our veteran, expert marksmen.

C4C’s planning committee put thousands of planning hours into the event.  Starting in April the year prior and all the way to February --- their dedication to MNPVA was nothing short of remarkable.

Mark your calendars and save the date for our next MBA Charity Auction on February 27, 2016 at TCF Bank Stadium.  Additional details to come, which will have everyone’s tails wagging.
