Global Experience
International Residency
At the end of the Executive MBA program, you'll participate in an intense international residency that gives you hands-on experience in emerging and mature markets around the world. While overseas, you'll have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of cultural and social differences that can have a profound impact on global business.
Led by senior faculty, the residency incorporates speakers, projects, and team presentations. Along with company visits and plant tours, you'll attend presentations, discussions, and lectures by government officials, business leaders, and local professors.
Global Team Project
The Global Team Project (GTP) provides Carlson School Executive MBA students the opportunity to work across cultures, industries, and markets. During GTP, you will develop advanced skills in teamwork, cross-cultural collaboration, and business plan development in order to address the demands of real-world international business challenges. Guided by a faculty leader in each program, the GTP participants develop a detailed business plan. Each team presents their plan to faculty, program alumni, and their fellow students at the conclusion of the program.
Each virtual team consists of students from all three of the Carlson School's Executive MBA programs, grounded in key business destinations around the world:
- Minneapolis, MN
- Vienna, Austria
- Guangzhou, China
Your participation in GTP may be a first step in establishing a global professional network, or building on your existing network.
