Our Services & Resources

The Carlson Business Career Center prepares graduate business students for successful internship and job searches and connects students to top companies across the world.

Career Coaching
Our professional staff career coaches and nearly 20 contract coaches can help with all aspects of your career development. From using assessments to help you define a business career that fits you best, resume building assistance, interview prep, to negotiating job offers, your career coach will be with you every step of the way. We offer one-on-one appointments in-person, by phone or Zoom.

On-Campus Interviews
Each year, local and national organizations visit campus to recruit students for full-time opportunities. Hundreds more post opportunities to our TalentLink career management system, which provides another way for students to learn about job opportunities.

Company Info Sessions & Site Visits
These events are an excellent opportunity for students to make an initial contact with a company representative and learn about different company cultures, meet company representatives, and expand your professional networks.

Events & Workshops
Our office hosts dozens of events every year - from networking receptions to career exploration panels to webinars that are specific to graduate-level business students' job search needs.

  • Career Orientation/Greenlight Program: Prepare for the hiring season with two evenings of tips on resumes, networking, LinkedIn, interviewing, and more
  • Express Advising: Daily lunch-hour, first-come, first-served express coaching.  Have a quick question and need to talk to a coach? CBCC coaches are "on call" several times throughout the week to answer your questions without having to make an appointment.
  • Coffee with BD: Weekly drop in with our industry experts on the CBCC team. This is your chance to learn about which companies our business development team is meeting each week.
  • Career Treks: Visits to cities across the country

Library resources - We have the best, most up-to-date books on job search strategy, networking, and interviewing.  You can check books out in the CBCC office.
