**Camp Emerge 2020 is now virtual!
Camp Emerge is the focal program of Project Emerge. For years the event is in person, it is a three-day business leadership camp at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. While exploring what makes the Twin Cities a truly unique learning environment, Camp Emerge participants will gain personal, professional, and cultural leadership training to prepare for the business elements of any career. This selective program will help guide the cohort of participants through their graduate and career exploration.

Camp Emerge 2020 will now be virtual!
Project Emerge welcomes applications from rising undergraduate juniors and seniors and emerging professionals (1-2 years of experience) from ALL majors. Camp Emerge is designed for people of color, women, LGBTQ, and first generation students but welcomes applications from all undergraduate juniors, seniors and emerging professionals who might benefit from this opportunity. **As the event is now virtual, there will be no cost.
For years the event is in person, admitted participants will pay $100 to secure their spot in Camp Emerge 2020. This includes lodging, food, training, site visits, and other opportunities during Camp Emerge. Scholarships and travel stipends are available and will be determined after selection, based on participant need.
Our first session of Camp Emerge will be held on July 25, 2020. Subsequent dates are listed below; all sessions will be held from 10 am - 12 pm CST. Can't make one of the sessions? Just let us know! Tentative programming plans are:
July 25, 2020 - Design Your Life: introductions, core teams and how to apply Design Thinking
August 1, 2020 - Planning for a Career in Business: workshop by our Carlson School Career Center
August 8, 2020 - Finding your Voice: self-reflection and identifying leadership strengths
August 15, 2020 - Beyond Camp Emerge: structured problem-solving and applying what you've learned
Due to the demanding requirements of our program, admittance to Camp Emerge is selective. The selection committee is looking for individuals who align with the programs mission and demonstrate excellence in the following areas:
- Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
- Academic Achievement / Leadership
- Career Exploration / Articulation of Interest
CAMP EMERGE APPLICATION TIMELINE
- Early Applications (prior to 2020): Decision by March 5
- Round 1 Deadline: March 1 Response by April 5
- Round 2 Deadline: April 1 Response by May 5
- Round 3 Deadline: May 1 Response by June 5
- After May 1, 2020: Rolling application review dependent on availability -- email email@example.com for an individual conversation.
