Early Career Award
Information & Decision Sciences Associate Professor Sofia Bapna won the INFORMS Information Systems Society Sandra A. Slaughter Early Career Award from the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences. The award honors early-career individuals who are on a path toward making outstanding intellectual contributions to the information systems discipline.
Technology Advocate of the Year
Information & Decision Sciences Professor Ravi Bapna won the 2025 Technology Advocate of the Year award from the Minnesota Technology Association’s annual Tekne Awards. The award recognizes his work for building the AI capacity of the region through his leadership of the Carlson Analytics Lab and the Analytics for Good Institute, and his commitment to education across
Pathbreaking Research Award
Information & Decision Sciences Professor Gedas Adomavicius received the INFORMS Information Systems Society Andrew B. Whinston Pathbreaking Research Award. The honor recognizes a researcher or team whose contributions over the last 20 years have been pioneering by either opening a new line of inquiry or advancing an existing research stream in a substantial manner.
Research Paper Finalist
Supply Chain & Operations Assistant Professor Hailong Cui was a finalist for the 2025 POMS College of Behavior in Operations Management Junior Scholar Paper Competition.
Outstanding Reviewer
Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship Assistant Professor Sunasir Dutta was a recipient of the Outstanding Reviewer Award at the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal for the 2024-2025 year. This award reflects an exemplary level of service and dedication to the journal and to the profession.
Research Competition Winner
Marketing Assistant Professor Irene Nahm won the 2025 Institute for the Study of Business Markets Competition “Coping with Climate Change in Business Markets” for research titled “Resilience in Salesperson-Customer Relationships in the Wake of a Natural Disaster: Insights from Hurricane Harvey.”
Asset Pricing Research Honored
Finance Associate Professor Juliana Salomao and co-authors won the second place Fama-DFA Prize from the Journal of Financial Economics in the area of capital markets and asset pricing for their paper, “Estimating and Testing Investment-Based Asset Pricing Models.”
