What was your initial reason or motivation for pursuing a Management Science MBA?

I pursued a STEM Management MBA to strengthen my ability to drive data-driven financial strategies and lead in a rapidly evolving business landscape. With extensive experience in finance, process optimization, and strategic planning at organizations like GEA Group and PwC, I recognized the need for deeper expertise in data analytics to enhance decision-making and create greater business value. The University of Minnesota’s program offers a unique blend of finance, technology, and management that aligns perfectly with my career goals. I aim to leverage this knowledge to lead innovative, data-backed financial strategies that fuel growth and operational excellence.

 

Why did you choose the Carlson School?

I chose the Carlson School for its focus on strategic finance and data analytics and its exceptional Global Immersion Program. The program’s combination of technical rigor and practical applications aligns with my career goals. The school’s strong connections with leading companies, emphasis on leadership development, and global exposure will provide invaluable opportunities for growth. This unique blend of resources will help me develop the skills to drive impactful financial strategies in diverse business environments.

 

What has been or was your most valuable Carlson School experience or lesson?

My Carlson School experience has been transformative, blending hands-on learning with leadership opportunities. During my MBA finance internship at Ecolab, I gained invaluable experience in commercial finance and strategic decision-making. The MILI Valuation Lab further enriched my skills, providing real-world insights into healthcare innovation, valuation, and market analysis. Leading the Faith and Business Club has been equally impactful, as I built a platform to explore the intersection of ethics, purpose, and leadership in business. These experiences, alongside the guidance of exceptional faculty and collaborative peers, have shaped my professional growth and equipped me with the tools to drive meaningful impact.

The University of Minnesota’s program offers a unique blend of finance, technology, and management that aligns perfectly with my career goals. I aim to leverage this knowledge to lead innovative, data-backed financial strategies that fuel growth and operational excellence.
