About
Matthew Branson is the Vice President and General Manager, Nalco Water Light – Institutional, part of the Industrial Sector for Ecolab, Inc.
Over Matthew’s 17-year career with Ecolab, he has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in Marketing, Sales Operations, Corporate Account Sales Management, Field Sales Management and General Management in Ecolab’s Institutional and Food & Beverage Sectors.
Prior to his role as VP & GM NW Light - IS, he has held roles as:
- VP & GM, Facilities and Government with P&L responsibility for $150M business unit in Ecolab NA Institutional Business
- VP Corporate Accounts – Institutional leading a team of 9 Corporate Account Managers responsible for managing customer relationships Midwest of United States of America
- Area Manager – ProGuard leading a team of 75 Sales and Service associates across the Midwest
- Corporate Account Manager responsible manage customer relationships in New England
- Food & Beverage Global Marketing responsible for developing and launching new innovations globally
- Institutional Marketing roles including Corporate Sales Operations & Marketing as well as On-Premise Laundry
Before joining Ecolab, Matthew spent 6 years at Johnson Controls as Sales Account Executive.
Matthew currently is on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota based non-profit, Penumbra Theater. One the largest African American run theaters in the USA. He has also held board positions for YouthCARE and The Boys and Girls Club Twin Cities.
Matthew is an active member is several Ecolab Employee Resource Groups, ERGs, and sits on the advisory board for the Black Leaders Forum (BLF) and EcoEssence.
Matthew graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He earned his MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
