Janine Kamath
About
Janine is Founder and CEO of Kamath-Coelho, LLC. She served as Executive Director, Mayo Clinic International, and Chair, Mayo Clinic Department of Management Engineering and Consulting. She holds a dual academic rank as assistant professor of health care systems engineering, and assistant professor of healthcare administration in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Janine also worked in leadership roles at 2 multinational pharma companies while in India. Her experience spans advancing strategic initiatives in the realms of digital, AI and platform environments, operations optimization, international business growth, care model transformation, and quality, affordability, and customer experience. She has a passion for entrepreneurship, diverse talent growth and driving results in global settings.
Janine participates in professional and community organizations and academic institutions including college and high school student internship and mentorship programs. She presents at national and international conferences and publishes in peer reviewed journals. Janine has authored book chapters and a book on the legacy of management engineering and consulting at Mayo Clinic. She was recently appointed to the Healthcare Advisory Board at EthAum Venture Partners.
Janine received an M.B.A. in Information and Decision Sciences from Carlson School of Management (Carlson) and an M.A. in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. She completed a Certification in Entrepreneurship in Medical Technology from Carlson and Cambridge University, England. She also participated in the Medical Technology Evaluation Laboratory conducted by Carlson in Shanghai, China. Janine is a Diplomate of the Society for Health Systems and a Senior Member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences. She enjoys traveling and exploring other countries with her husband Patrick and their 2 daughters Marielle and Amika who are proud University of Minnesota graduates!
