About

Alexa Peters Posner has over 10 years of experience in non-profit, family-owned, city government, and Fortune 100 organizations. She is currently a Senior HR Business Partner at HCA Healthcare's corporate headquarters in Nashville, TN. Alexa has a BA in American Studies and Hispanic Studies from Macalester College. Pursuing Carlson's MHRIR graduate degree after a few years of work experience was great timing for her, as she was able to bring HR context to her classes and accelerate her career with both internships and her positions after graduating. She is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Alumni Board!

On a personal note, she was "bitten" with the travel bug early in life, and has lived in France, Sweden, and Cuba - the latter is where she happened to meet her now husband. Besides connecting with people (in one of the four languages she speaks), she enjoys hiking in the mountains, reading, and painting portraits.
