New Program Delivers Carlson MBA Primarily Online

Monday, October 31, 2016

This fall, the Carlson School welcomes the inaugural class to the new Part-Time Distance MBA Program. The new program connects students to a rigorous curriculum, world-renowned faculty, and individualized career services. The program is designed for emerging business leaders who are unable to attend classes on campus. These students will complete the majority of their courses online and graduate in 2.5 years.

“The challenges of today’s business landscape are increasingly complex and leaders need the latest tools to address them. Now those leaders can access a top-ranked, globally recognized MBA education—no matter where they live,” says Linh Gilles, director of admissions and recruiting for Carlson MBA programs. “Our Distance MBA program provides the flexibility students need, while extending access to the high quality of learning and career advancement opportunities the Carlson School is known for.”

Unlike fully online MBA programs, the Carlson Distance MBA includes an in-person component that empowers students to derive maximum value from their program. Students choose a minimum of two on-campus experiences among a variety of opportunities: they can attend orientation, participate in a case competition, enroll in a condensed or evening on-campus course, and more.

The Carlson School accepts applications for the Distance MBA Program on an ongoing basis, and admitted students may begin the program in either the fall or spring. The application deadline for admission to the Spring 2017 cohort is December 15, 2016.
