Master of Marketing Program Ranked Among Top 5 in U.S.

The Master of Marketing program may be one of the Carlson School’s newest programs, but it’s already ranked among the world's top programs.

In rankings released Thursday, the Master of Marketing program was ranked No. 4 in the U.S. and No. 18 in the world by the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2023.

“It is a tremendous honor to be placed alongside the best Marketing programs in the world,” says Kathleen Vohs, the Land O’ Lakes Professor in Marketing and department chair. “This program is still very young and it’s great to be recognized already for the work everyone in our community has done to get the program going.”

The Master of Marketing program graduated its first class in spring 2022 with huge success in placing graduates in the workplace with high salaries in key marketing positions. 

QS, also known as Quacquarelli Symonds, is a British company specializing in the analysis of higher education institutions around the world. Its QS Business Master's Rankings 2023 ranked schools from data collected using three surveys: the QS Global Employer Survey, the QS Global Academic Survey, and a survey completed by the business schools themselves. The survey conducted by schools covered quantitative indicators such as the salary of graduates, class profile, and other institutional data.

Several of the Carlson School’s programs placed in the top 15 in the U.S. in their respective QS rankings. The Master of Science in Business Analytics program ranked No. 7, the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management program ranked No. 8, and the Master of Science in Finance program ranked No. 12.
