This virtual and in person event series will be a wonderful opportunity for you to prepare for your graduate program, network with current graduate students, and engage with the program staff that will be supporting you on the journey ahead.

Event Registration

Within the Carlson Up Close Invitation Email, we ask that you navigate to that email in order register for each individual event you wish to attend, so we may anticipate your participation!
Virtual Events: Virtual events will be hosted exclusively in Zoom. Links and event passwords will be emailed and shared in the Attendee Agenda.
In Person Events: Please note there are attendance limits for these events and we have required registration/reconfirmation dates for all in person event attendees.
- Students who are currently residing in the US will receive an email invitation to register for the in person events Students who are not currently residing in the US will not be able to register for in person events at this time. The Admission team has created meaningful virtual events so you can participate without added stress, expense, or future visa entry issues. We look forward to meeting you online and supporting your transition to campus life later this year.

Unable to Join Us?

We understand that not all newly admitted students are able to join us for Up Close! You schedule, location, or circumstances do not diminish your place in our community.

If you would like to get a recording of a particular virtual event after the event, please reach out to your Graduate Programs Admission contact for assistance. We'll be recording key portions of these events for later viewing.

We also welcome you to make arrange a visit to the Carlson School building at a future date. If you let us know you are interested, an individual building tour, in person appointment, or class visit can be arranged.

Coming to Campus

The Carlson School of Management is located on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus, in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota. You may find specific directions to our building on the Carlson School website for Location & Facilities.

Details related to commuting and parking around the larger campus can be found on the University Services Parking and Transportation Services website.

Please note that all University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus buildings are closed to the public and that active UCard access is required for entry, outside of planned event days.
