As an employee of the University of Minnesota, you already contribute to the University's mission of education, research, and outreach. Through the Regents Tuition Benefit Program, you can advance your own education while maintaining your important role at the University.

Carlson School graduate programs that work with your schedule
The Carlson School offers several graduate programs designed to fit around your University responsibilities. These programs are eligible for the Regents Tuition Benefit.
- Part-Time MBA: Evening classes that work with your campus schedule
- Online MBA: Learn from anywhere, with the same renowned faculty
- Executive MBA: Alternating weekends (Friday and Saturday) for experienced professionals
- Master of Accountancy: Flexible full-time or part-time options to prepare for CPA certification and accounting careers
- Master of Business Taxation: 100% online course delivery for tax specialization
- Master of Science in Supply Chain Management: Flexible schedule for supply chain advancement

Frequently asked questions
As a University of Minnesota employee, you'll receive substantial tuition coverage through the program. While the benefit covers 75-100% of tuition, you're responsible for additional costs such as books, course materials, technology fees, and other program fees.
If you're a faculty member, P&A staff member, civil service employee, or labor-represented employee working at least 75% time, you're eligible.
Graduate assistants, professionals-in-training, affiliate organization employees, and family members/dependents are not eligible.
The program covers credit-bearing courses that appear on a University transcript. While study abroad courses through the Learning Abroad Center aren't included, you'll have access to the full range of on-campus and online courses offered by the University.
The value of this benefit may be subject to taxation. Review the Appendix: Tax Implications of Regents Tuition Benefit Program, and consult with your tax advisor about your specific situation.
The process is straightforward for current employees:
- Apply for your program of choice.
- One you're admitted, complete the Request for Regents Tuition Benefit Program form
- Get your department's signature
- Email your completed form to [email protected]
