Analytics Education for Working Professionals
The part-time Master of Applied Business Analytics (MABA) program prepares business leaders for today’s data-driven workplaces. Designed specifically for working professionals, the MABA program’s online and HyFlex classes fit your schedule. Earn a graduate degree without having to quit your current job.
Part-Time Analytics Graduate Program
This 32-credit analytics master’s program can be completed in two years taking no more than two courses at a time. HyFlex classes provide students the freedom to flex between an online and in-person experience. All students begin the program in September and move through required courses as a cohort, allowing you to expand your network while learning.

The Applied Business Analytics program emphasizes using data to solve business problems. At the Carlson School, you’ll learn from faculty with deep expertise in using data analytics to solve business problems. Professors in the school’s highly ranked Information and Decision Sciences department designed the MABA program and teach all the core and advanced analytics classes.
Applied to Business
The MABA curriculum focuses on using data analytics to achieve competitive advantage, operational efficiency, and other critical business goals. You’ll gain technical skills in programming and data engineering, along with knowledge of exploratory analysis, data visualization, predictive models, machine learning, and other analytics techniques.
Experience that Matters
Gain resume-worthy experience while you study. Experiential learning means you get to apply classroom learning to real business problems. In your final semester, you’ll complete a capstone project for a client company.
On the football field, Blaise Andries is one of the best offensive linemen in college football. In the classroom, Andries’ accomplishments may be even more impressive. Currently enrolled in the Master of Applied Business Analytics program, Andries was recently named an Academic All-American for the third time, becoming the second Gophers athlete ever to accomplish that.
